Additional advertising formats
Advertising would require appropriate program approval, working privacy and consent controls, and a review of the placement before it is enabled. Ads must be recognizable and must not hide content, imitate site controls, or make reading depend on an accidental click.
Editorial pages must retain substantial original value. Checkout, private workspaces, and utility screens are not places to add ads merely because they receive a visit.
Sponsorship and paid placement
A paid placement must be labeled near the placement. Any sponsorship requires an agreed scope describing the format, location, duration, and deliverables. A sponsor cannot purchase a favorable review, an editorial ranking, or the omission of a material drawback.
Vendor fact-checking may help correct factual errors; it does not grant control of the editorial conclusion. An application or discussion is not evidence of a live campaign or an accepted payment.
